‘pen & p a i n t’© is a workshop exploring how we think & feel, investigating the cerebral word & the sensory image through the application of writing & painting.

‘p&p’

Workshops are held on a single day, Saturday/Sunday, from 11am to 4pm with a maximum of 8 participants.

-We take two breaks and a 1/2 hour lunch and the timing is flexible in keeping with the dynamic of each group-

-They are held outdoors, 'en plein air', whenever possible to help inspire and relax participants. In Vancouver, workshops are offered in a beautiful indoor/outdoor space at the Museum of Vancouver-

‘p&p 2.5’

A condensed version of the program that works beautifully for friends, colleagues, larger groups or anyone keen to spend a few hours exploring their untapped creativity.

‘p&p’ and ‘The Ship of Theseus’

A two day deep dive into exploration & self expression. Using the ancient Greek myth to help us navigate, we will explore the old self & the new self through the application of writing & painting.

*Writing & painting materials included for all workshops*

The first portion of the workshop is focused on 'the pen', where participants use the creation of short story, poetry or verse to illustrate how our left-brain processes and helps us record our thoughts. The second half of the workshop is focused on 'the paint', where participants apply brush to canvas to create an emotional landscape using right-brain responses as their guide.  

We investigate the challenges of writing and painting in practical terms through discussion, guidance and Q&A.

There is no obligation for participants to share their writing or painting work with the group and participants take home all their creations.

VANCOUVER

‘p&p’ - $120 CDN inclusive of applicable taxes

‘p&p 2.5 - $80 CDN per person.

Cancellation terms for both workshops:

‘p&p’: If your space can be filled at least one week prior to the workshop date, full refund will be granted.

‘p&p 2.5’: Deposit payment of 50% and confirmed participant numbers req’d two weeks prior to booking date. If booking is cancelled less than two weeks prior to scheduled date, deposit will be non refundable.
